Return walk from Scotsman Point (near Clifton camp) to Cape Kidnappers takes up to19.5 km or 5 hours walk. We strongly recommend you to see the tide schedule before you go.
You can visit cape Kidnappers at a different time of year. At the end of the trip you will meet the large inland gannet colony. Gannet nesting from May to July. However all the tourist agencies will tell you to plan your walk from October to April.
You need to have your own food and drinking water in sufficient quantity to last for at least 5 hours. There is an proper picnic area and toilet facility at the Cape Kidnappers. You can not walk back late in the afternoon with the setting sun. Plan your return not later that 2 pm. A hide tide is approaching quickly. Have a safe trip.
